After throwing the idea around, I've decided that a few changes need to be made.
First, Act I is no longer going to be completely linear, and there will no longer be just a single dialogue choice at the end that determines which girl Tomo ends up with. Instead, there will be one choice for each girl, when Tomo is introduced to them during his tour of Hoshi HQ, and each of those will be weighted differently to prevent a deadlock when adding up the points at the end of Act I.
What this means is that a) some routes will be harder to get than others, and b) the choice at the end of Act I will be automatic, where Tomo chooses his preferred partner based on the points towards each girl gained from the past dialogue choices.
I'd like to have Iniquitus work with each of the writers on this, since now the individual routes will technically be beginning in Act I as opposed to Act II. On your own time, the writers should get together and plan out how the new dialogue choices in Act I will work together.
Additionally, I've decided to include NEUTRAL ENDINGS. What this means is that instead of the bad ends being the default, neutral ends will serve that purpose, and only certain incorrect choices (the final dialogue choices being an example, as well as certain other key scenes) triggering the bad ends. Of course, the good endings will still only be seen should the player make every correct choice, but as for the neutral endings, I'd like each writer to come up with one on their own and pitch them to me once they do.
If anyone has any further questions, please let me know!
